Endodontics is the dental specialty that deals with the dental pulp inside of a tooth. When a tooth is compromised by decay or trauma, the inside can be susceptible to decay which may cause pain when chewing, sensitivity to hot and cold food and drink, pressure sensitivity, or a combination of these.
